Summary of Performance Expectations
Decontaminates instruments and hospital equipment. Cleans, assembles packages & sterilizes instrumentation and supplies for age appropriate patient care. Assist with receiving of daily departmental supplies attention to inventory control as stated by Coordinator/Director. Will perform other duties as directed by Sterile Processing Director/Coordinator.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Certified Sterile Processing Technician. Knowledge of medical terminology.
Work Experience:
Required:
No previous experience required in sterile processing. Will train in basic job proficiencies. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
