Summary:
Performs a variety of para-professional and technical duties in the procurement of materials, supplies, services and equipment in a centralized purchasing environment. Process purchase orders and requisitions, resolve backorder issues, and invoice discrepancies. Greet and assist customers which include a variety of front office duties such as procurement card check out and vendor management system maintenance/support. Act as a backup to other Buyer team members.
Required Education:
Business administration coursework supplemented by an Associate degree in a related field or High School diploma plus considerable experience in the procurement of materials, equipment and supplies or finance.
Required Work Experience:
No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date. Job Shift:7AM - 7PM
