Position Overview
As the In-reach Program Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team committed to providing support and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness. Your role will focus on helping clients understand and access available services in our community, empowering them to navigate their path to stability. You’ll bring passion, expertise, and leadership to ensure our services are compassionate, accessible, and trauma-informed, supporting our mission to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in the Treasure Valley.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor the In-reach team, providing training, daily guidance, and performance feedback.
- Oversee implementation of team schedules;
- Oversee the operation of the Housing Crisis Hotline; ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Develop and drive team performance to program goals, strategically aligned with Our Path Home’s CoC system;
- Create and maintain client resource material, as needed;
- Manage Taking Root program referrals;
- Develop deep expertise in Housing First, Trauma Informed Care, Progressive Engagement, and Motivational Interviewing;
- Consistently demonstrate knowledge and understanding of these models through all aspects of client care, team training and program management;
- Coordinate waitlist participant updates for those at the top of the list;
- Ensure client files and team documentation are accurate, timely, and support system data goals;
- Oversee Linda Fund implementation;
- Participate in the Leadership Team;
- Coordinate with fellow service providers for resource development and knowledge;
- Report to the OPH Connect Program Director; providing information on metrics of success, areas for improvement, and suggestions for innovative new practices;
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications (Preferred Skills and Experience)
- A sincere passion for ending homelessness (Housing First programming a plus);
- Two years of supervisory experience and the ability to mentor and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff and participants;
- At least one year of experience working with vulnerable populations;
- A degree in Counseling, Social Work or a related field is preferred;
- Experience with participants with substance misuse preferred;
- Organizational and management skills related to data collection, monitoring and reporting;
- A demonstrated relationship-building capacity with a variety of diverse organizations;
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills with a solution-oriented approach;
- Computer skills including experience with email, internet, and Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
