Senior Finance Manager
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Finance Manager / Site Controller to join one of my manufacturing clients in Tampa, FL with a focus on accounting, financial planning & analysis, internal controls, and operational finance support within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, leads the month-end close process in collaboration with Financial Shared Services, and partners with leadership to develop financial forecasts. The position will also oversee audit compliance, support SOX requirements, and assist department managers with budget variance analysis and financial troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and statistical data to identify performance drivers and develop improvement plans.
- Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and SOX compliance.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Support financial performance reporting, operational key metrics, and KPIs.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Oversee revenue recognition processes (ASC 606), including month-end adjustments and forecasting.
- Analyze and manage cash flow forecasts for receivables and payables.
- Provide financial insights to support cost reduction initiatives, pricing strategies, and product line performance.
- Drive process improvements across operations and finance.
- Serve as a liaison with corporate accounting, internal/external auditors, and compliance teams.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus).
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a background in cost accounting or financial analysis preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial performance drivers, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP and financial systems (IFS and BPC a plus).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience in a government contracting or defense manufacturing environment (CAS, DFARS, FAR, TINA) is a plus.
