What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alternate Assisted Living Manager position at Catered Living at Ocean Pines, LLC?
Reports to: Assisted Living Manager (ALM) and Delegating Nurse (DN)
The Assistant Manager will work cohesively with the ALM to ensure the day to day operation of the assisted living facility. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist with managing staff such as supervising all staff, ensuring staff are following the facilities policies and procedures, hiring, in-services/training, and disciplinary actions. Covering Shifts as needed.
- Assist with following state and federal rules and regulations for compliance such as monthly Cart audits, completing care notes and service plans per COMAR regulations, maintaining records (scanning into the electronic medical record, filing/thinning paper charts), updating evacuation book as needed.
- Communicating with ALM, DN, residents, resident's POA, physicians, members of the interdisciplinary team (hospice, home health, PT, OT), and staff for continuity of care of the residents. Document as needed.
- Assist the ALM with providing the highest quality of care for the residents including assisting with admissions, preparing for medical appointments, transcribing medication changes accurately, complete all requests from DN in a timely manner, completing the incident tracker and investigating incidents as needed, ensuring the MAR is being correctly filled out weekly, checking ADLs are completed per residents individualized care plan.
