Job Overview
The Executive Chef at Catering by Michaels is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our high-volume kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, developing menus, and maintaining food safety and sanitation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient production and quality control.
  • Develop and implement customized menus and recipes that meet customer demands and exceed industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, labor costs, and food costs to ensure budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop new menu items and concepts.
  • Conduct regular department walk-throughs and random food tastings to ensure quality control.

Requirements
  • Advanced culinary degree/certification preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive culinary experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to deadline.
  • Proven leader with ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal.
  • Hands-on management style that emphasizes direct involvement in the day-to-day operation.
