This recruitment will establish an eligible list. This list will be used to fill one current vacancy within Cathedral City. The list may also be used to fill future positions.

THE POSITION
The salary may be negotiable within the range listed, based on the position requirements and successful candidate's qualifications, subject to appropriate authorization.
Under close supervision, performs professional analytical and management related duties in assigned functional area(s) to include but not limited to administrative support, program development and/or management, system(s) monitoring and/or management, statistical analyses, public information, budget and/or funding monitoring and/or management, and other staff/technical support related to the assigned department, division, or City-wide activities and functions.
Primary responsibilities include: the administration of the City’s short-term vacation rental program, additional responsibilities within the Code Compliance Division and in support of the Community and Economic Development Department, including those related to cannabis enforcement, code compliance appeals, administration of Title 25 and the Mobile home Parks Act, department reporting and measurements, legislative tracking, contract management, and special project research.

Training and Experience
Any combination of training and experience that provides the above-listed knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way of qualifying would be:
Analyst I: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business, public administration, or a field closely related to the department’s or assigned functional area’s program/discipline. Related office or program administration experience may be substituted for the education on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.
Other Requirements
Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License and maintain possession of such license during the course of employment.

Examination Phase: Based upon the information presented on the application, a limited number of candidates who possess qualifications most pertinent to the position will be invited to participate in the selection process. The selection process may include but is not limited to the following components: application review and evaluation, written examination or exercise, and interview evaluation.
3. Establishment of Eligibility List: Candidates who successfully complete the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list pending further review by the department head and other qualifying procedures.
