What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Assistant position at Cathedral High School?
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Hours: Part-time – 20 hours p/week

The Admissions office seeks an experienced assistant to help with the implementation and assessment of the school’s admission process and help guide the recruitment, tracking, and enrollment of qualified candidates. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming all visitors cordially, making them feel at home with fun conversation.
- Answering basic questions about the interview and application process.
- Assisting with all campus events.
- Preparing student/family folders for campus events
- Answering the phone with a positive voice and responding to all emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Welcoming walk-in visitors to campus
- Processing application materials submitted through the Ravenna database
- Submitting complete application files to Admissions Committee for review
- Following up with families to help keep them moving forward in the process.
- Communicating (electronically and by mail) admissions information to applicants
- Ordering of basic supplies
- Maintaining data dashboard
- Tracking data using the Ravenna database system, and oversee the general admissions email inbox.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of administrative assistant experience
- Familiarity and/or comfort working in Ravenna
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Zoom, etc.)
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Strong, self-motivated work ethic, high energy, and competitive spirit
- Appreciation for the value of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a diverse Community
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Pass all required background screenings
