What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher, Math, Middle School (EX) (2025-2026) - School of the Cathedral, Baltimore MD position at Cathedral School?
The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as a Middle School Math Teacher. The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing standards-based lessons as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. This position is for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Essential Functions
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all AOB policies and procedures.
- Implement lesson plans utilizing a variety of techniques to motivate, challenge, and engage students.
- Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church.
- Create an instructional environment conducive to learning that is appealing and organized.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the Catholic mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Expertly integrate G Suite for Education into a 21st Century classroom.
- Meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students in accordance with the
curriculum. Effective instruction will include differentiated learning.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in math or Education with a math concentration
- MSDE teacher certification in Education for Math or the desire to obtain this
- Knowledge of curriculum, and principles and practices of pedagogy
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as to enrich and differentiate instruction
- Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal
fingerprint background check, completion of VIRTUS Training, and completion of all necessary paperwork.
Pay Range: $50,000, Annualized
