Position Summary
- Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and provide for physical and instructional needs of student with disabilities.
Position Requirement
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; and
- Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education [defined as completion of 48 semester hours ;or
- Have obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or
- Have met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment – Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics;
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Regular heavy lifting of students
Term of Employment: 10 months
Reports to: Building Principal
Salary: Commensurate with experience and district salary schedule.
