What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant: Campus Ministry position at Catholic Central High School?
This part-time position (19 hours per week) provides administrative support to the Campus Ministry Department. He/She will assist in the coordination of all aspects of Campus Ministry from retreats, activities, service opportunities, and Mass planning. He/She will help to advance the mission of the school (to prepare servant leaders for a Christ-centered life) by engaging with students, parents, and staff and supporting the efforts of the Campus Ministry Department to create a vibrant prayer and service-oriented faith community that is reflective of our Catholic identity and values. This person will coordinate work hours with the Director of Campus Ministry based on the weekly needs and upcoming events. He/She will also participate in staff meetings and other professional development as needed.
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities
Developing positive and professional relationships with students and staff
Assist with developing local service opportunities and oversee tracking hours in MobileServe, including problem solving with students struggling with the app
Maintain Adoration schedule and relationships with parents
Maintain chapel and order supplies as needed
Coordinate morning prayer leaders rotating among Campus Ministry, other adults, and student leaders
Assist in coordinating Reconciliation in March
Coordinate supplies for Junior Social Justice/Service retreats
Engage with local youth ministers to schedule lunch visits, Focus Times, building relationships, etc.
Facilitate letters for Kairos retreats
Coordinate registration for Kairos retreats
Provides admin support to COREX
Communicates and assists students and parents in online registration process and payment tracking
Assists in volunteer and parent compliance and tracking
Assists in volunteer coordination working with CCHS Food Service
Assists volunteers in maintaining compliance requirements: Virtus and background checking
Through their work, furthers the Catholic mission and identity of the school
