The Provider Coordinator is principally responsible for managing and coordinating all activities relating to family childcare educators by the Family Childcare (FCC) System.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor family childcare homes for compliance with licensing regulations, best practices in early childhood education, monthly and as needed.Assess the quality of services provided in each family childcare home for adherence to contractual obligations with both the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and Catholic Charities Boston (CCAB).Complete home studies, as well as all paperwork and record keeping required by regulatory agencies.Work with FCC educators to develop and implement appropriate behavior management techniques and other activities to support individual children's service plans and goals.Facilitate substitute child placements, when necessary, which may require work from home.Assume case management duties as assignedChild intakes and assessmentsChild placement in appropriate family childcare homeMaintenance of required client paperwork and documentationMaintenance of collateral contactsReferral to services that support the needs of children and families.Collaboration with other community agenciesAttendance at case conferences and evaluationsCompletion of required written reports of monthly visit formsSupport educators professional development, including providing technical assistance to achieve family childcare accreditation and / or CDA, which may require leading groups that meet in the evening.Work collaboratively with other unit members, including sharing job responsibilities in their absence.Follow through with all Agency directives and assigned tasks and projects in a professional and positive manner, respecting supervision and constructive criticism.Model the CCAB mission statement to "respect the dignity of all people.”Attend all required meetings and trainings, which may involve evening hours.Demonstrate willingness to work cooperatively with colleagues.Represent the Agency in a professional manner to all segments of the public.Maintain the highest standard of ethical conduct and professional responsibility, including maintaining confidentiality, to children, families, colleagues, the Agency and the community.Have a plan for his / her own professional development, staying current in the field by attending workshops and conferences, reading relevant literature, and / or taking or teaching courses.Work is performed in an office setting, that requires long periods of sitting and traveling to educators home, agencies and meetingsOther duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in early childhood education or Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Lead Teacher certified. Bachelor Degree preferred in early childhood education, social work, or related fieldThree years’ supervised experience in early childhood, social work or other related work preferredAbility to lift up to 30 pounds, and to climb stairsValid driver's license and transportation for local travelCompetent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteGood oral and written communication skillsBilingual ability in Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole is preferred but not requiredAbility to pass a background record check (BRC)sign on bonus is payable as follows : half paid in first available payroll cycle following start date and half after successful completion of 90 day of employmentOur benefits are competitive and include a 403(b) savings plan and generous time off.
