Summary : The Unaccompanied Children’s Program (UCP) protects the rights of young immigrants to make informed decisions about their lives. Annually, we defend and counsel thousands of young people facing family separation, government detention, and deportation. UCP serves unaccompanied non-citizen youth who are currently detained by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) in juvenile facilities in the Lower Hudson Valley, Long Island, and New York City, as well as youth who have left these facilities and reside in New York City. We are committed to ensuring that non-citizen youth have access to the information and support they need to fully exercise their rights and to meaningfully participate in their own removal defense. Each year, we provide robust legal representation to hundreds of children facing removal and give legal information to thousands of children in federal immigration custody. Outside the courtroom, UCP provides educational and integration opportunities for non-citizen youth, and we connect young people with supportive social services in the communities where they live. This position includes some exposure to children who have suffered abuse, abandonment, neglect, or other trauma, and / or management of data regarding the same. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of grant funding policies, scope of work, regulations, and procedures to communicate detailed guidance to staff regarding grant reporting requirements and data recording procedures.
- Collect and analyze data, produce summary reports, and develop systems to track and update program data efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in entering and tracking information into internal case management systems (Law Logix), UCLS, and other reporting databases.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to funders, stakeholders, and program leaders.
- Maintain a calendar of reporting deadlines and ensure progressive work towards timely completion.
- Facilitate communications by and to program leadership, and ensure accountability, transparency, and access to necessary information.
- Implement streamlined communication protocols on performance management workflows including timelines for information submissions and outcome targets.
- Attend meetings to complete UCP’s operational, administrative, and coordination needs.
- Aid in drafting protocols relevant to program data collection and management.
- Maintain client information confidential.
- Adhere to Agency and UCP protocols.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday. Working conditions and physical demands required :
