Paid Summer Internship. Full-time starting as early as mid-May through the end of August.
Camp Christopher, a program of Catholic Charities, is looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and hardworking interns to work in our camp store. This individual would assist customers throughout the shopping experience while keeping the storefront organized and exciting for customers. Their duties include greeting customers, promoting available merchandise, and processing payment for the square POS system. Interns will gain valuable hands-on leadership experience and skills necessary to operate a storefront, while also positively impacting youth.
What you will do:
- Assist customers throughout the buying process
- Process all transactions using accounts and credit cards
- Track inventory at the end of each week and record discrepancies
- Keep storefront organized including removing sold-out items, wiping down counter, and sweeping daily
- Keep snacks and drinks stocked in-store
Internship Requirements:
- Preference to students pursuing degrees in business management, operations management, or related field
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Interest and/or experience in creating an engaging storefront display
- Required to learn and be knowledgeable of goods sold
- Basic math skills
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Intern will abide by contractual agreement between Catholic Charities and higher education program
- Ability to work in outdoor setting, with frequent walking, standing, and movement
Schedule: Varying hours from Monday-Friday, full time; may be needed some weekends
Pay: Interns are paid $425 for the week
