Catholic Charities, Geauga County, is seeking a mission driven, enthusiastic individual to join our Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) team as a full-time case manager! In your role, you will teach social and emotional skills to preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary children following the Incredible years curriculum. You may also cover other case managers classrooms as needs arise. You will provide parenting guidance that may, at times, be done in the family's home. You will also handle referral cases and will provide teachers with guidance on an individual child or the classroom as a whole.
Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of child development, child screening, and assessment.
Program statement: Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) serves children, their families, and childcare programs and/or schools. The goal is to educate and improve the social and emotional well-being of children. This early intervention provides a bridge to additional resources and connections to services within the community.
What you will be doing:
- Providing the ECMH program at various settings including childcare centers and elementary schools.
- Provide coverage for other case managers classrooms should a substitute be required.
- Providing support to childcare providers and teachers in managing children's behaviors.
- Providing support to children and their families within their communities, at times in the home.
- Provide one on one support to children.
- Provide one on one parenting support.
- Provide referrals to community services.
