JOB SUMMARY :

The Program Supervisor is responsible for the clinical and non-clinical supervision of CBVI staff, as well as the day to day operations of the program. Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and attending community events and activities, and collaborating within CCDoT programs as well as external agencies, including court, Justice HUB, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Provide supervision of staff with the goal of assuring appropriate and quality services
  • Prepare of performance evaluations for supervisees
  • Work with HR and Associate Service Area Director as needed for personnel issues
  • Assign all cases and tasks
  • Provide leadership regarding clinical / counseling issues as well as case management
  • Edit and approval of assessments, progress reports, and DAP notes
  • Monitor timeliness and report schedules
  • Assist with innovative program planning and implementation of all programming.
  • Monitor and report on all goals as per the proposal
  • Implement the policies and procedures of Catholic Charities in dealings with clients and staff
  • Assist with recruitment of appropriate staff as authorized
  • Develop rapport within agency, with outside agencies, and with the public
  • Assist with active solicitation of referrals from other agencies; the development of congenial and mutual relations with other professional agencies, schools, clergy, etc.
  • Liaise with funding agencies, and the community at large.
  • Assist with innovative program planning and implementations.
  • Participate in division wide and agency wide activities to improve service delivery as directed.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for case intake function.
  • Supervise and direct special projects and subcomponents as assigned.
  • Complete Logic models, PDSAs, chart reviews
  • Create developmentally appropriate activities for youth centered around violence prevention, community safety and available support services
  • Plan and attend community events
  • Work with Marketing and Developing to create flyers and social media posts
  • Staff off-site locations where case management or clinical services may be required including NJ Family Courts and the Trenton HUB
  • Work with NJ4S and other internal and external agencies to coordinate community events
  • Create literature regarding de-escalation, conflict resolution, impulse control, problem-solving, and anger and stress management
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate Community Response Guidebook.
  • Offer to go to schools and provide programming on community violence prevention to students, staff, and parents
  • Collaborate with local institutions to create and maintain Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
  • Facilitate therapy groups for students, parents, siblings, or other subpopulations who are impacted by community violence
  • Conduct ACE / PEARLS assessments and decide what suggestions are clinically appropriate
  • Meet clients where they are in the community and assessing their immediate needs
  • Offer to provide psycho-education about restorative justice
  • Track number of pamphlets distributed, interactions at events, social media likes and comments, and referral source of calls and inquiries from new clients (as per grant goals)
  • Create pre- and post-surveys assessing attitudes towards violence, distribute and score
  • Hold in-person and / or remote meetings for community members on how to heal
  • Work with Associate Service Area Director to create all forms related to program including parental consent

OTHER DUTIES : as assigned by Associate Service Area Director

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES : Computer literacy, excellent oral and written communication, supervisory experience

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS : At least 12 months experience providing supervision

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :  Masters in a related field (Social Work / Counseling) from an accredited graduate school of Social Work, Counseling, or other appropriate program preferred; years of experience can be considered in lieu of advanced degree.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED :   Clinical license preferred.

Exempt / Non-Exempt Exempt Weekly Work Hours 35 Proposed Salary $62,000 to $65,000 / annually ScheduleMonday-Friday; evenings and weekends as needed for events and activities
