POSITION TITLE: ANSP Outreach Specialist
REPORTS TO: Program Manager, Refugee Services
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
TIME COMMITMENT: Full-or Part-time (40 hours/week)
SALARY: $23-$25 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY: The ANSP Outreach Specialist is tasked with conducting outreach to the Afghan community and delivering educational workshops to enhance clients' self-sufficiency. Responsibilities include developing presentations, making appropriate referrals to necessary services, and providing information about relevant programs and services in the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Refers clients to external community services
· Prepares workshop materials
· Develops educational PowerPoint presentations on self-sufficiency topics for the Afghan community
· Attends San Diego Afghan community events for outreach with potential ANSP clients
· Designs and distributes flyers for ANSP events
· Collaborates with other agencies, vendors, and partners for ANSP workshops
· Presents workshops with Dari and Pashto speaking team members for translation
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Experience with case management
· Dari and Pashto language speakers preferred
· Valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record
· Successful completion of a background check and TB test
· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
· Proficient with computer, office equipment, MS Office Suite
· Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize
