What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Wellness Navigator--LIFT position at Catholic Charities Fort Worth?
What will you be doing in your role?
- Conduct client assessments.
- Attend financial trainings to keep you updated on the latest financial resources and industry trends.
- Utilize coaching approach to empower client and maintain engagement & motivation to achieve goals.
- Provide financial coaching for clients that are struggling with their financial situation to help them identify their Bigger, Brighter Future and the goals needed to achieve it.
- Utilize the Financial Social Work Curriculum to integrate emotional resiliency into the financial coaching process.
- Meet with clients regularly to review goals and progress.
- Travel within the community to meet clients or meet virtually based on your assigned team.
- Be well versed in savings strategies, credit repair as well as debt consolidation and how to equip clients on using those strategies.
- Maintain relationships with internal & community partners who can help your clients progress.
- Work with the agency financial specialist to find the products and approach most needed for your clients.
- Act as a conduit between the client and the financial entity when referrals are given.
- Holistic service planning with support from resource specialist
- Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements, licensing requirements, and agency quality assurance standards.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to achieve financial stability.
- Maintain all records of communication and data collected from clients in online database system.
Are you the next LIFT Financial Wellness Navigator?
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or closely related field
- Master’s degree and/or clinical experience preferred
- Case management experience marked with whatever-it-takes tenacity to meet client’s needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license and be willing to transport clients in your car if transportation is a barrier for a client.

- Full-time position with a starting hourly rate of $20, based on minimum job requirements. Pay is determined by relevant experience, work history, education and internal equities.
