What will you be doing in your role?
- Support to case management staff to assist refugees in their journey toward early self-sufficiency and cultural integration.
- Provide direct support to clients by assisting with appointments, including but not limited to, doctor’s appointments, public benefits offices, and job interviews.
- Ensure professional service delivery by working in collaboration with case management to provide timely case management support, documentation, and communication with client.
- Focus on motivation, support, and empowerment of clients along their path to self-sufficiency.
- Collaborate with case management staff to facilitate service delivery to clients.
- Support the data and evaluative needs of the program by ensuring proper, accurate, and timely documentation.
- Communicate client/case observations and concerns to case managers.
- Advocate for clients at service providers or agencies, and in the community.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with clients.
- Continually explore training opportunities to increase our skill set.
- Work collaboratively with other teams within the agency to support the overall goals of CCFW.
Additional Information
- This is a part-time, non-paid position.
- Regular office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- This position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week and at least one school semester remaining.
Are you the next Case Manager Intern?
- High School Diploma required
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Work or related field
- Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and liability insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A belief that ending poverty is possible!
