Responsibilities:
- Work with agencies and service providers to facilitate service delivery coordination to foreign born youth and their custodians. Identify and refer them to appropriate pro-bono legal service providers.
- Conduct legal orientation (following a script) to custodians of unaccompanied minors in person or via video calls
- Provide information, training and technical assistance to Long Island communities and organizations on issues related to Human Trafficking.
- Identify and refer foreign born victims of human trafficking to appropriate community agencies.
- Assist with coalition building to bring together resources to address human trafficking in the region as well as offer training and technical assistance to local organizations not part of the coalition.
- Maintain service records as well as service data for reporting measurable program/funding source goals.
- Partner with law enforcement agencies, schools, health and social service agencies to identify foreign born victims of human trafficking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services such as Social Work, Psychology, Legal Services.
- 1-3 years working in human services with Immigrants
- Bilingual capability – Spanish/English – verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible schedule to meet program needs.
- Ability to travel locally to various work sites, meetings, presentations and client meetings.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License; local travel required.
Schedule: full time – 35 hours per week – Work schedule: Monday to Friday.
Rate of Pay: $49,140 per year.
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
