About the Role
This full-time position requires a skilled professional who can work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate complex information clearly, and a strong commitment to upholding the values of Catholic Charities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive case management interviews with program participants and provide financial coaching
- Conduct Strengths Assessments-Arizona Matrix, and VISPADT or VAT assessment as needed
- Master all site funding streams to determine participant eligibility
- Follow all agency procedures for spending and check requests
- Attain expertise in all internal and external resources
- Assist participants in navigating available social service systems and programs
- Identify written measurable and achievable goals for participants and provide ongoing wraparound case management to monitor progress
- Enter daily case management services into site database, monthly tracker, and spending spreadsheets
- Maintain accurate hard copy case management files for each program participant with all appropriate fund documentation
- Create and submit a monthly case management report to the site manager by designated deadline
Requirements
- Demonstrate a passion for the mission of Catholic Charities
- Must be willing to perform by the agency's values: love, patience, kindness, faithfulness, self-control, and joy
- Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required
- Possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Driver's license, dependable transportation, current vehicle insurance, and a verified safe driving record
- Two years' experience in a social service-related field; Bachelor's Degree in a social service-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous background in financial literacy, HUD programming, and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and respect people from various social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to work in a team setting, including colleagues, contractors, and funding sources
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Spanish fluency is a plus
