Responsibilities
Seeking a Grant Writer / Fund Development professional to manage all activities related to procuring funding through grant writing and fund development.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Research grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government funding sources to support the mission of the agency.
- Prepare well-organized, compelling grant proposal drafts that follow the requirements of the funder. Submit and track grant applications.
- Consult with agency leadership to obtain needed data including budgets, statistics, supplemental documentation, narratives, and in-depth reports on program services.
- Produce timely reports as required by funders, agency staff, and board.
- Collaborate with the board Fund Development Committee to develop a fundraising strategy and plan for building a multi-year campaign for capital and operating needs.
- Cultivate a culture of philanthropy through relationships, communications, special events, and fundraising activities.
- Manage and organize activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for the agency.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and possess professional writing and editing skills. Grant writing and / or other professional writing experience strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience.
