Responsibilities
The In-Home Early Learning Specialist will be responsible for an assigned caseload of 4-12 families with young children ages ranging 18 months to 4 years old. They will visit these families in their homes twice weekly for 2 years, completing reports and assessments as required by the ParentChild Program and Catholic Charities of Onondaga County. The In-Home Early Learning Specialist will make refferals to external providers based on these assessments and work with the guardians to set goals. The specialist will travel throughout Onondaga County for visits, assist with family recruitment, and participate in networking and community events. They will attend weekly staff meetings, individual supervision meetings, and maintain compliance with funding source guidelines and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
This Position is Part Time and Starting Pay For This Position Is : $18.50 / Hour
Qualifications
Education and / or Experience Required at Entry :
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with up to 2 years of experience working with young children and / or families, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience may include daycare, in-home childcare, nanny, or former program participant.
- Knowledge of child development and familiarity with community resources.
- Home visiting experience preferred.
- Bilingual / multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
