What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director - New Hope position at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago?

- Responsible for overseeing the overall and daily operations of the New Hope Apartments Program including managing program budgets;
- Responsible for coaching, supervising, training, professional development of staff, and for assigning work to staff and ensuring that inspections and paperwork are performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance, when necessary;
- Handles all client and employee complaints as well as crisis situations in consultation with his / her supervisory chain and in compliance with Agency / Programmatic policies and procedures and treats each case with sensitivity and expedience;
- Ensures that staff maintain up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by agency / programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations;
- Responsible for maintaining, updating and submitting routine and ad-hoc reports, as necessary;
- Facilitates the communication, marketing, delivery and development of the program;
- Responsible for exploring donation opportunities within the community to obtain additional resources for clients;
- Researches potential grant opportunities and / or assists the supervisory chain with the grant application process;
- Responsible for managing Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants and Homeless Continuum of Care participation;
- Knows and complies with the laws and regulations relevant to the position and services.

Education and Experience Requirements :
Relevant Education :
Preferred : MSW
Minimum : Master's Degree in related field
Relevant Experience :
Preferred : 5 years of supervisory and subsidized housing experience
Minimum : 3 years of supervisory and subsidized housing experience
Certification / Licensure :
Preferred : Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Minimum : LCSW / LCPC
Compensation : $62190-$76010 / year
