Facility Maintenance Specialist - Lake County

Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:
1. Provides support to Building Manager for Lake County by maintaining a high level of cleanliness of Agency rentals or building/(s) which includes the interior and exterior maintenance and ensures compliance with all Agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations;
2. Performs routine and minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs to Agency building(s);
3. Performs daily cleaning such as: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of walls, windows, restrooms, picks up trash and empties garbage cans and dumpsters and spot cleans when needed;
4. May perform major cleaning projects such as: Burnishing floors, stripping and waxing floors, and carpet cleaning when necessary and contingent upon the need at property;
5. Handles work orders in a timely and efficient manner;
6. Responsible for set-up and clean-up of various rooms, as directed;
7. Moves furniture and transports Agency goods, including donations and food, as needed in Agency van;
8. Schedules maintenance and repairs for Agency vehicles, as necessary;
9. Assists with the seasonal maintenance of the premises, including: snow and ice removal, spreading of salt when needed on all pavements, and the maintenance and groundskeeping of all landscape areas.

X Additional Requirements: Job duties may need to be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to reach in all directions and climb a ladder, when needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant Education:
Preferred: High School
Minimum: GED

Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 3 years of janitorial or facilities-related experience
Minimum: 1-2 years of janitorial or facilities-related experience
