What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Maintenance Associate position at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago?
Essential Functions

- 1.Provides HVAC support to the Housing Services Department by installing, maintaining and repairing : heating, ventilation and cooling units for residential buildings to ensure compliance with all Agency / programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies;
- 2.Diagnoses, repairs and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical components of heating, ventilation and cooling systems;
- 3.Obtains any replacement parts and calibrates systems to the manufacturer's recommendations;
- 4.Coordinates with outside consultants, contractors and vendors, as needed;
- 5.Assists Physical Plant Operations Engineer with the implementation and management of a preventative maintenance plan;
- 6.Assists in maintaining physical plant of building including but not limited to : plumbing, electrical, back flow testing, fire suppression systems, and booster pumps;
- 7.Maintains good working order of company tools and reports any mechanical issues to supervisory chain;
- 8.Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in Agency vehicle;
- 9.Handles work orders in a prompt, efficient, and safe manner;
10.Responsible for handling and / or coordinating services to resolve any HVAC related emergencies, as needed.
