What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Truck Driver/Food Handler position at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago?
Essential Functions of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below :
1. Responsible for transporting WIC products and other CCAC goods.
2. Ensures safe loading, unloading, and delivery of products.
3. Follows applicable traffic laws and reports all accidents and violations
4. Ensures any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected and reported before driving.
5. Plans routes, meets delivery schedules, and records product delivery time and mileage
6. Performs daily maintenance and inspection of the vehicle, including refueling, cleaning, and pre-and post-trip inspection
7. Ensure mechanical issues are corrected and reported before driving and maintain cooperative relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.
8. Keeps current with WIC and CCAC updates and employee communicationComplies with CCAC policies and procedures, professional standards, and requirements from regulatory entities.
9. Assists with receiving, unloading, and staging incoming deliveries and loads and unloads forklift and pallet jack to safely transport products.

X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.
X Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
X Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time.
X Lift up to 50 pounds.
X Additional Requirements : Able to stand and / or walk majority of day. Ability to move frequently between hot and cold temperatures in the kitchen.
