The Navigator, United Way is responsible for supporting activities necessary to successfully assist ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) community members in Harris County achieve their resiliency goals. A successful applicant will be culturally and linguistically competent, will have a working knowledge of community resources available in the area, and will have experience as a community organizer, advocate, case manager or volunteer. The Navigator will primarily support the clients of community organizations external to Catholic Charities.
What you Deliver
- Assist clients to access, apply for, and obtain services, and programs.
- Engage and collaborate with area non-profits, governmental entities, and other regional and national stakeholders.
- Represent the CCGH at meetings and events for networking, partnership building, collaboration and referrals.
- Advocate for refugees, immigrants, underserved residents, and ALICE community members to have equity of access to services.
- Assume the role of system coordinator and resilience-building expert.
- Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with United Way Second Century Vision expectations for Navigation services
