As the Head Preschool Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Follow and implement the Troy School District UPK curriculum and guidelines, attend all Troy School District UPK meetings and trainings
- Observe and evaluate student progress using UPK-approved assessment tools within established timelines
- Communicate with parents daily through face-to-face interactions, written reports, and progress updates
- Ensure that classroom environments are clean, organized, and safe, following OCFS regulations
- Encourage and model positive social behaviors, helping children develop self-regulation and interpersonal skills
- Design an inclusive and developmentally appropriate environment that meets the needs of diverse learners
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and community partners to enhance program effectiveness
Head Preschool Teacher Minimum Salary: $25
Head Preschool Teacher Maximum Salary: $25
Head Preschool Teacher Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm (35 hours)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field
- Preferred: NYS Pre-School Teacher Certification or eligible to receive certification (we will work you to help obtain certification) or working towards it
- 1-3 years of experience working in preschool classroom
