As the HIV Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through: Â
- Perform HIV screening and testing sessions at OASAS approved substance abuse treatment programs
- Perform HIV confirmatory testing for clients returning a reactive result
- Conduct outreach activities to identify opportunities for HIV screening at OASAS certified programs
- Provide referrals to Albany Medical Center’s PrEP program, or other PrEP programs accessible to the client
- Track performance of program, and identify required structural changes to increase success of program. Evaluation of program should include overall testing numbers, client’s successfully receiving care for HIV, additional education and risk reduction services including, but not limited to Syringe Exchange and PrEP.Â
- Represent the agency in keeping with agency mission and standards of professionalism and ethics

HIV Early Intervention Specialist Minimum Salary: $Â 38,000

HIV Early Intervention Specialist Maximum Salary: $Â 38,000
Â
HIV Early Intervention Specialist Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week)

Qualifications: Â
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Education or Human Services
- 1 - 3 years of working with a diverse population
- Must have a personal cell phone, valid driver’s license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a working, reliable vehicle
