As the Infant/Toddler Child Care Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through: Â
- Provide regular on site Infant/Toddler training and ITA in child care services
- Support Infant Toddler staff with classroom teaching strategies
- Coordinate resources for community based projects and initiatives including the engagement and education of families on child development
- Work collaboratively with regulators, child abuse and neglect agents, early intervention specialist, college educators, health consultants, and health inspectors within with child care provider serving infants and toddlers in the regionÂ
- Within two years obtain and maintain the NYSAEYC Technical Assistance/Training Credential required by the NYS OCFS to conduct professional development and coaching for child care providers/programs
- Provide ITSIDS (Infant Toddler Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) prevention trainings, Infant/Toddler specific trainings and various other trainings as needed
- Using knowledge of child care, provide technical assistance to Early Childhood programs in Otsego County according to program policy and procedure. Perform Assessments, conduct observation utilizing evidence based (and setting appropriate) tools and analyze results to create and implement individualized action plans and goals

Qualifications: Â
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Day Care Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience providing outreach, working with adults
- Prefer experience operating a child care center of family child care home
- VALID Driver's license, proof of current car insurance and registration, and access to a working and reliable vehicle
