What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany?
LPN
Full time Position (35 hours per week Monday – Friday)
Unique human service agency seeks LPN with a minimum of 3 years' experience to perform medical duties/trainings in residential settings for infants, children and adolescents.
The LPN responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain all medical documentation
- Oversee and monitor all medications
- Ensure that all medical procedures and doctor's orders are followed
- Schedule and transport clients to all medical appointments
- Provide on-call coverage for any medical concern that arises outside of business hours. On-call coverage is 2 consecutive weeks each month
- Provide First Aide/CPR training to staff who work in residential programs
Excellent benefits and competitive salary. The candidate is required to have experience working with adolescents, obstetrics, and pediatrics. Experience with child welfare and mental health services is required. Computer knowledge necessary and experience with the CONNECTIONS system is preferred. Must have a valid New York State driver's license.
Candidate should have the ability to walk up and down stairs; be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time; demonstrate a full range of motion and be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
