As the Student Assistance Prevention Specialist-Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Provide substance abuse and gambling prevention through evidence-based curriculum to youth in schools (ages 5-19.)
- Assist school administration, students and staff in developing a comprehensive prevention curriculum, peer leadership and data collection as needed
- Complete monthly statistics for CCFMC and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and other reports as necessary or required
- Input statistical information in the WITNYS system a minimum of 1 time per month
- Collaborate with other agencies or community groups or coalitions to utilize prevention services approaches including education, environmental strategies, positive alternatives, and informational dissemination to youth and adults to assist in addressing community-wide prevention needs as needed or available to participate
- Attend all regular agency, clinical, and programmatic meetings, and trainings as deemed necessary or needed per the Youth Services Program Director
Student Assistance Prevention Specialist-Counselor Minimum Salary: $23.00
Student Assistance Prevention Specialist-Counselor Maximum Salary: $23.00
Student Assistance Prevention Specialist-Counselor Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm
This is a 10-month reoccurring position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in counseling or related field
- 1-3 years of Counseling Experience (youth preferred)
