Position Summary :The Mission Advancement Assistant and Data Analytics Specialist at Catholic Charities Fort Wayne-South Bend (CCFWSB) will further the mission of our organization by maintaining our Virtuous Donor Database, providing donor data analysis to senior management and our Board, and supporting the marketing and development efforts of the Mission Advancement Team.

Position Summary :The Mission Advancement Assistant and Data Analytics Specialist at Catholic Charities Fort Wayne-South Bend (CCFWSB) will further the mission of our organization by maintaining our Virtuous Donor Database, providing donor data analysis to senior management and our Board, and supporting the marketing and development efforts of the Mission Advancement Team.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support Chief Development Officer and Marketing Manager on assigned agency Mission Advancement, Development and Marketing activities
- Enter gifts into donor database and ensure proper maintenance of data
- Reconcile financial data in the donor database with the financial system to ensure correct statistical information, ensuring all donor information aligns with financial team records
- Prepare and provide donor analysis, including recurring reports and ad hoc reports requested by the Mission Advancement Team, CEO and Board on a regular basis
- Organize and deliver proper stewardship to donors, e.g., thank you cards, new donor packets, Caritas packets, birthday cards, etc.).
- Ensure proper donor recognition in our Giving Societies, flag any donor as new, or lapsed, gifts that are larger than previous donations, and gifts that range over $500.
- Assist with data mining for donor prospecting
- Update and ensure all eligible Caritas donors receive donor benefits through letters, welcome packets, thank you notes, pins, tours, and plaque recognitions.
- Assist in coordinating and setting up agency events
- Assist with the current campaigns in development
- Assist development and marketing mailings (e.g., agency newsletter, appeals, Impact Report, etc.)
- Ensure donors receive annual tax statements from previous year
- Maintain mission advancement records in an organized and easily accessible manner
- Set up and coordinate community donation drives throughout the year
- Proofread written content and materials as directed (e.g., proofread press releases, the Clarion newsletter, etc.)
- Provide general support to Mission Advancement as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of agency information at all times
- A minimum of an associate's degree in Data Analysis, Business, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Familiarization of data management and analysis preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Successful candidate must possess familiarity with the Catechism of the Catholic faith, Catholic sacred tradition, and possess a dedication to advancing our Catholic mission
- Strong organizational and time management skills; the ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects at a time
- An adaptable, resourceful and flexible workstyle
- Ability to work both independently and as a strong team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside CCFWSB
- Exceptional attention to detail and propriety required
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed (e.g., at times before 8:00am and after 5:00pm, weekends) and travel as required. Some weekend and evenings events required with notice.
- Commitment to agency’s mission and full commitment to speak and act in accordance with the agency’s Catholic identity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Conditions Of Employment:
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- If your position requires you to transport clients, staff members, or volunteers with your personal vehicle as needed, it is required that you have a reliable vehicle with personal vehicle liability insurance coverage per person and per occurrence
- If your position does not require you to transport clients, staff members, or volunteers with your personal vehicle, or such transportation is restricted to use of agency vehicles, your personal vehicle liability insurance coverage must be at least per person and per occurrence
- Successful completion of federal and state background checks
- Successful completion of child welfare screening
- Successful completion of drug and Mantoux (TB) screens
- Comply with the agency’s mission, code of ethics, Catholic Social Teaching, policies and procedures, and confidentiality
- Must have ability to reason and make judgements, to understand and follow oral and written instruction, to guide and/or give instructions, and to make decisions in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Physical strength: must have ability to lift, push/pull, and hold/carry 25 lbs.
