Catholic Charities Central HR Office is growing and seeking a Learning and Development Partner to join our Team!

Position Title: Learning & Development Partner

Work Location: Rochester, NY. Occasional day travel with mileage reimbursement

Salary: Starting at $60,405.80, with potential additional consideration commensurate with experience of the candidate.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm (flexible schedule)

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The Learning & Development Partner will be responsible for researching, designing and implementing effective training programs and methods to develop employees and leaders within each of the Catholic Charities and affiliated agencies resulting in enhanced organizational performance.

Collaborates with the HR team and organizational leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory trainings and development of new curriculum based on agency needs using a combination of e-Learning, instructor led, and virtual instructor led training. Develops organizational strategies designed to improve communication and foster continual improvement within all divisions of CCDOR and ensure clear and consistent messages regarding the organization’s objectives, goals, requirements, and procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • · Develops, presents, and coordinates training events, including but not limited to researching the training topic, developing curriculum, scheduling, tracking and reporting, management of virtual platform and/or location set up, and course evaluation.
  • · Manages the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of leadership development programs that are aligned with strategic priorities and desired leadership competencies.
  • · Delivers highly effective and engaging in-person and on-line training programs using principles and practices of adult learning and organizational development.
  • · Maintains the learning management system (LMS) including but not limited to creating/updating online courses, enrolling employees, troubleshooting issues, tracking completions, delivering training compliance records, and updating the system as necessary.
  • · Develops, maintains, and continuously improves strategic training plan and skill gap analysis.
  • · Implements and directs Training Committees to create and maintain ongoing training needs analysis.
  • · Develops, implements and monitors metrics to measure effectiveness of training results.
  • · Participates in, and serves as backup for, new employee orientation as required.
  • · In collaboration with the HR team and Agency leadership staff, ensures continuous process improvement and best value are achieved by challenging existing practices, policies and procedures, setting targets for enhancement when needed.
  • · Develops and manages organizational communications to Agency leaders, managers, supervisors and staff to ensure effective communication of training and development events and resources.
  • · Reviews all approved new and revised employee handbook policies and updates specific training courses as necessary.
  • · Ensure confidentiality of all employee information.
  • · Works effectively as a team with members of management and the HR staff.
  • · Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or training courses.
  • · Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.
  • · Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being collaborative and community focused, innovative, and culturally competent and inclusive.
  • · Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • · Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, instructional design, human resources management or related field preferred.
  • · At least one year of training experience, preferably within a human service or health care not for profit.
  • · Experience uploading learning content, course creation, assigning courses, and learning record management in a Learning Management Systems (LMS).


A combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Human Resource Director or the Chief People Officer.

Our hiring process and timeline:

  • · Applications will be reviewed regularly until the position is filled.
  • · Phone screenings will be conducted with qualified candidates.
  • · In-person one-hour interviews will be conducted with candidates who advance after the phone screening.
  • · In-person interviews are typically with 2 participants.
  • · Where applicable, 2nd Round in-person interviews may be scheduled with members of the HR Team. This would be with 4-10 participants and in-person with some participating virtually.
