What you will do : _
The Events Specialist is responsible for continuing the growth of Catholic Charities events portfolio and Corporate Relationships. The position requires the ability to plan and implement targeted events, together with the assistance of volunteers, directors, and program managers, based on clear objectives and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities of the position also require the skills to prospect, cultivate, solicit, and steward Corporate gifts and sponsorships. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, and strong computer and organizational skills. It requires an understanding of what inspires donors to give and the ability to design programming based on that understanding. The position will work with a variety of people both within and outside the organization to achieve multiple objectives.
Job Requirements : _
Education :
Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, Communications, or related field
Job Related
Experience :
Three (3) years of work experience in events management, development, or relevant sales and marketing experience.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events and corporate sponsorship activities, including ability to ask for and close sponsorships of $5,000 and above. Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Able to articulate the mission and programs of Catholic Charities to a diverse constituency, including Catholic and non-Catholic denominations.
