Description:
This position is located in Dover, Delaware. Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a Payment Processor who will be responsible for processing vendor bills in support of the Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
This position requires part-time availability Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, up to 28 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize LIHEAP system to generate accurate and timely billing/invoices for vendors of the program.
- Reconcile vendor claims versus payments.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain billing filing system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principals and excellent aptitude for working with numbers.
- Computer proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office suite including Excel and email clients.
- Demonstrated professional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well independently, with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to maintain confidential/sensitive information and data.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Willingness to consent to and ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.
