Quince Street Village is a micro home village that provides safe housing for adults experiencing homelessness in Olympia. CCS strives to provide a safe and respectful environment where program participants can access an array of emergency and supportive services and work towards more permanent housing.
Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. This includes helping guests navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews. Staff are trained in behavior management, basic case services, as well as Motivational Interviewing and other counseling skills. This position is in charge or maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the site and surrounding area.
The Lead Program Generalist duties include oversight of the operation of Quince Street Village in the absence of the Program Supervisor. Provides direction to Shelter Program Generalists and Volunteers to ensure the comfort and safety of guests and employees.
- Works shifts as scheduled by the Program Supervisor and fills in for the Program Supervisor when she or he is not working. May also attend case staffing’s and administrative meetings as needed. May also fill in for Program Supervisor or other staff as needed during the week.
- Participates in interviews and decision making for hiring program staff as needed.
- Supervises all program staff and guests in the absence of the supervisor.
- As the team leader, works with staff to welcome guests, and ensures HMIS data entry and logs are completed.
- In collaboration with the Program Supervisor, supervises volunteers providing meals or working at the program.
- Ensures security procedures are communicated and implemented.
- As part of the Mitigation Site team, intervenes in arguments, fights and other disruptive behavior. Provides behavioral management. Facilitates the ban decision making process in the absence of the Program Supervisor. Schedules meetings between guests and the Program Supervisor as needed.
- Ensures that all reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Completes HMIS training, attends HMIS administrator meetings and other HMIS related meetings and training as required.
- In collaboration with the Program Supervisor, provides one on one supportive services, compliance meetings and connection with services.
- Works closely with any Case Managers, Peer Navigators or any other supportive services (internal and external to CCS) to provide coordinated services to guests.
- Provides consultation and guidance to the Program Generalist staff regarding how best to serve program guests.
- Participates in community case staffing meetings in Program Supervisor’s absence.
- Fills in for any position as needed.

Minimum Requirements- High school diploma or GED.
- Possess good verbal and written communication.
- Ability to use a computer proficiently for documentation, data entry, etc.
- Applicant must successfully pass required background checks prior to an offer of employment.
- Ability to provide a negative TB test.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with diverse populations including people with active mental health and substance use disorders.
- Experience providing homeless services.
- Certified Peer Counselor certification.
- AA/BA in Social Service or related field.
