Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter Custodian to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities throughout the day.
Job Title: Day Porter Custodian Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter Custodian to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities throughout the day. The primary responsibilities will include maintaining clean and sanitary restrooms, performing routine cleaning tasks, and responding to any immediate cleaning or maintenance needs as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward maintaining a clean and safe environment for all building occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all restrooms, including restocking supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.), cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, and ensuring trash bins are emptied.
• Perform general cleaning duties throughout the facility, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hallways, office areas, and common spaces.
• Respond promptly to cleaning or maintenance requests throughout the day, including spills, trash removal, and emergency cleaning needs.
• Ensure the facility’s interior is tidy, organized, and free of debris.
• Restock restroom supplies and other cleaning materials as necessary.
• Monitor building premises to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of restrooms and other common areas.
• Maintain and safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Assist in setting up or cleaning event spaces, meeting rooms, or common areas as required.
• Report any facility maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing or electrical problems) via campus work order system.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina, including the ability to bend, lift, and move objects.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
• Flexible schedule, with availability during business, evening & weekend hours as necessary.

Work Environment:

• Indoor & outdoor work in a school and office setting.
• Regular use of cleaning equipment and supplies
