The Church of Saint Clarence, a vibrant and active faith community of 2200 families located in North Olmsted, Ohio, in the Diocese of Cleveland, is seeking a full time Pastoral Associate/Lay Ecclesial Minister.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of a dedicated and vibrant pastoral team implementing the vision of the Second Vatican Council in all areas of parish life including organizational and ministerial planning. The selected candidate will assume responsibility for adult faith formation and the continuing education and formation of ministers. (S)he will be a person of vision, able to discern the needs of the Church in the local setting and the gifts of the community to meet those needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. 1. Adult Education 2. Formation and continuing education of ministers 3. Social Justice planning and implementation 4. Liaison to various parish groups a. Charity in Action Committee b. Small Ecclesial Communities c. Ministers to the sick and homebound d. Parish Volunteers 5. R.C.I.A.
Additional Programming as determined by pastor and pastoral Associate
The candidate should be able to work well with a wide variety of individuals and groups across the age span.
