General Position Summary : The Assistant Music Director will oversee the Hispanic and Children’s music ministries for the parish and provide support for the Music Director. This position involves holding practices, conducting the choirs, playing the piano, and assisting with other liturgical functions. Bilingual preferred.
Principal Accountabilities :
- Establish, develop, and prepare the Hispanic Choir / Ensemble for the 1 : 30 p.m. Sunday Mass as well as Holy Days.
- Establish, develop, and prepare the Parish Children’s Choir to sing at one (1) liturgy per month as well as a Christmas and Easter Mass.
- Accompany and direct at least three (3) weekend Liturgies.
- Attend monthly liturgy meetings.
- Select music for the Hispanic liturgies and for the Children’s Choir.
- Available for ministry at weddings and funerals.
- Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc. as assigned.
