Part-Time (Mornings) Social Studies Long-term Substitute Teacher

DescriptionThis position is a part-time position teaching two (2) courses of Social Studies with the option to substitute or tutor all day from January 6 - April 4, 2024. Teachers at Catholic Central are student-centered, growth-minded professionals who help students develop a deeper knowledge of the Catholic faith and its relevance throughout their lives, develop greater love of God, and recognize the dignity of all people and the value of all creation.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn addition to content teaching, the selected candidate will: Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school wide opportunities.Work with the teacher on leave to ensure all lessons are facilitated according to the pre-structured plans designed to meet course standards.Grade submitted assignments and offer timely feedback to students.Maintain classroom decorum, encouraging orderly and stimulating student participation.Provide support both in the classroom setting and during established office hours.Contribute to the school community outside of the classroom.Other duties as required.Job Qualifications
