Job Description:
Spiritus Sanctus Academy is currently seeking Athletic Director and a K-8 PE Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Catholic educational mission of the school
- Integrating formation in Christian discipleship and virtue into athletics
- Establishing and maintaining a positive class, school and team environment
- Helping students develop their athletic skills, knowledge of and participation in sports in age-appropriate ways
- Finding and overseeing coaches, managing scheduling of practices, games, and related events, overseeing home events and athletic facilities
- Collaborating with other Athletic Directors in our athletic association
- Helping manage the Athletics & PE budget and developing the programs
- Maintaining excellent communication with parents
- Maintaining equipment in good condition
- Bringing a spirit of fun and good sportsmanship, and a right-ordered joy in athletics and team sports
- Working closely with the principal to carry forward the mission of the school
- Providing attentive supervision of students
- Collaborating positively and supportively with school administration, faculty, staff and parents to maximize students' growth
- Responsibly complying with deadlines and expectations as communicated by the principal
- Attending faculty meetings, professional development training, and other school events as required
- Taking responsibility for planning and assisting with some school activity/activities
- Taking on some additional responsibilities to make the position full-time; possibilities include teaching a Middle School core class, organizing student activities, or other possibilities.

- A faithful practicing Catholic, who offers a joyful witness of a life of faith
- Passion for creating and nurturing a Catholic culture in athletics and throughout the school, according to the mission of Spiritus Sanctus Academy
- Knowledge of and experience in physical education instruction and athletics
- Experience working well with children and young people
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and class management skills
- Joy in teaching and interacting with young people
- Bachelor's degree; teaching degree with PE endorsement, preferred
- Completion of Protecting God's Children/VIRTUS safe environment training and a background check
