Overnight Caregiver Position - Full Time (40 hours per week)

Overnight caregivers provide personal care for one to three terminally ill people in our small home setting. Tasks are similar to what a family caregiver does and is done in close coordination with the team and under the direction of the coordinator.
Our small home environment uniquely allows caregivers to spend quality time with guests and provide compassionate care.
- Full time - 4 nights per week as needed at our Lansing location.
- Overnight hours are from 10pm to 8am with some flexibility required
- Caregiving experience is preferred.
- Must be physically able to assist with transfers and position changes, be a strong critical thinker and communicator.
- Orientation and additional training on practical skills will be provided.
Caregiver duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing companionship and a loving presence to our guests
- Assisting with walking, moving, position changes, etc.
- Assisting with personal hygiene care (mouth care, bathroom assistance, grooming, etc.)
- Giving and overseeing medication as directed
- Meal preparation and light house hold tasks (cleaning bath rooms, mopping floors, washing dishes, doing laundry, dusting, etc.)
- Answering the phone and door as needed
- Effective communication and a team player mentality
- Assisting with other tasks similar to what a family caregiver would provide.
