St Joseph Catholic School is now accepting applications for a Part-Time After Care (Latchkey) worker. Hours of 3:15pm to 5:45pm Monday to Friday during the school year.
General Summary:
Our teachers are ministers of the Gospel and carry out the mission of Christ and His Church. The right candidate will be excited about the fullness of the Catholic faith and excited to share with others from their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We are seeking energetic, creative adults to fill our afterhours latchkey program for the 2025-2026 school year. Ideal applications can communicate in a positive way with students, parents, and staff. The applicants must also be able to collaborate with staff to carry out the mission of bringing Jesus to the center of the life of every student through faith, scholarship, and service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recognize and support the unique Catholic mission of the school by speaking, acting, and caring for students consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with students. Must be able to organize the classroom learning environment and materials to maximize student time on tasks as well as motivate student learning.
- Help with homework and school related projects if needed.
- Interact with students using crafts, games or books.
- Maintain confidentiality of information, display sound judgement in general behavior.
- Must be able to work with students of multiple age levels outside on the playground and in the classroom setting.
