Communications Coordinator, non-exempt position. 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Hours and days to be determined in conjunction with Pastor and Bulletin printing schedule.
Reports to: Business Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school degree or its equivalent (preference may be given to applicants with any secretarial/business-related, post-secondary training or certification(s). College graduates may also apply.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years of job-specific experience
SUMMARY OF JOB: Serves as primary contact person for the administrator, staff, and parishioners for all matters pertaining to the dissemination of parish information via print, audio / visual, and internet modes. May be required to create special correspondences, programs, worship aids, letters to parishioners, etc. under specific direction of the Pastor.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with software including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher), social media platforms, and content design tools (Canva).
- Ability to operate office equipment including desktop computer, copier, facsimile machine, scanner, and telephone
- Coordinator and editor of weekly bulletin, includes print and on-line versions
- Responsible for weekly email communication to parishioners via Flock Note
- Maintains parish website including content, format, presentation, etc.
- Responsible for all parish social media platforms including but not limited to: Facebook and Instagram
- Prepares and disseminates priests’ mass schedule
- Maintains phone system outgoing messaging
- Administers BRIVO door access system
- Additional duties as assigned by the business manager or pastor
POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a Citizen of the United States or properly documented to work in the United States
- Must be completely compliant with all requirements of the Diocesan Safe Environment for Children Policy
- Must have a bank account which allows for the direct deposit of bi-monthly pay
