St. Pius X Catholic School (Norfolk, VA) has an opening for a Learning Support Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
A successful candidate will have experience in the selection and placement of students in a learning support program and a working background and documented success in the support of students in a learning support program. The candidate will collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents to create individual learning plans, will be able to implement effective strategies for instructional support and track data with teachers, to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
The candidate must be organized, possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain an effective and supportive Christ-centered learning environment. A successful candidate can work well in a team environment, is self motivated, and is organized. A successful candidate has knowledge of grade level curriculum and standards. Appropriate degree with a Virginia teaching license with accompanying endorsement is required.
Qualifications :
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an approved program for general (Elementary K-5) education preferred.
Computer literate and technologically proficient.
Highly organized and motivated.
Start Date : 2025-2026 School Year (10-month contract beginning August 2025)
Salary : commensurate with experience
