At Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services, we are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Funeral Event Coordinator to serve families with care and compassion. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral planning process, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless execution of funeral services.
Job Summary:
The Funeral Event Coordinator is a vital member of our team, working closely with families, parish staff, vendors, and CFCS staff to plan and execute memorable funeral services. As the primary point of contact, you will communicate effectively, coordinate logistics, and follow-through on all aspects of the funeral service case.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with families to understand their needs and preferences
- Plan and execute funeral services, including arrangements, ceremonies, and receptions
- Communicate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of funeral services
- Manage funeral service cases from start to finish, including coordination of logistics and vendor management
- Provide excellent customer service to families, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner
Requirements:
- Event planning experience required; Funeral Director license a plus
- Associate's degree or 60 hours towards an Associate's Degree (any field of study)
- Valid Driver's License required
- Interest in obtaining a funeral license a plus
- Passion for people and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
