Job Title: DSP Community Coach
Program: Development
Hourly Rate: $16.00
General Responsibilities:
Catholic Guardian Services is looking for a passionate and experienced Community Coach for our residence program. The Community Coach provides individualized support to connect individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) with to their communities and assists the individual in acquiring and maintaining his or her independent living skills.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
- Minimum one year experience providing direct services to individuals with a developmental disability.
- Ability to travel to New York City communities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Desired Skills:
- We are seeking candidates who enjoy active, "people-oriented" work and are sensitive to the needs and preferences of people with disabilities.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications.
