Job Title: Family Advocate
Program: Family Enrichment Center
Salary: $48,000- $50,000
General Responsibilities:
CGS is looking for an Creative and Empathetic Family Advocate for our Family Enrichment Center. The Family Advocate is responsible for building connections with FEC Staff, community partners, and stakeholders. As a family advocate is responsible for welcoming newcomers, take active steps to recruit volunteers and ensure that they are valued members of the team.
Required Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in social work, public policy, education, public administration, or related field; and/or equivalent experience.
- Lived and/or worked in Bronx, preferably Community District 5.Strong interpersonal skills, be able to connect with and engage children, youth and families.
- Experience planning and hosting community events.
Desired Skills:
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus!
